So I begin one of my most ambitious pyrography pieces tonight. A large 12" by 24" piece of Birch. I have done others this large, and probably more detailed as well, but this one is a bit more special. If I can find it in my heart, I will be putting it up for sale. Here's what I have in mind: A large detailed portrayal of Wodanaz (Odin) in the center holding Gungnir, with Geri and Freki looking rather menacing at his feet; Munin perched on his shoulder, and Hunin flying above; Surrounded by an ominous fog-filled forest of bare tree branches. Probably several hidden things as well. I am very much looking forward to working on this piece. It has been a long time coming. I have seen very little art portraying the darker aspects of Odin, what I believe to be his true nature. I'll keep everyone updated. This one may take a while.
